Specialised from the beginning in making "fine
bubble" wines, Langlois-Chateau has developed
little by little these vineyards. A range of "still"
wines is also produced in a selection of Loire valley
appellation contrôlées.
Constantly looking to improve the quality of its
wines, Langlois-Chateau has built up knowledge and
skill in its area:
Knowledge of vineyards and the terroir Langlois-Chateau
is very active in research into wine growing and always
set a premium on using natural methods and respect
for the environment, particularly in pest management.
Langlois-Chateau was one of the first to obtain the
"Terra Vitis" label.
Controlling the wine growing process : Langlois-Chateau
has regularly invested in the highest quality material
(membrane press, thermo-regulated vats, cellars, casks
etc) that respects the nature of the grapes and helps
bring out their character.
Control of the blending process : the choice and progress
of blending is essential in the creation of a Crémant
de Loire worthy of the Langlois-Chateau brand: rich,
elegant, complete.
Controlling the quality process : through permanent
control that monitors the wines from the grape stage
to the shipped bottle (traceability) according to
criteria defined by us.
Langlois-Chateau has been developing "fine bubbles"
wines like this under the name Crémant de Loire,
an appellation that requires manual picking, lighter
pressing, longer maturing and adding its own quality
standards to the appellations' requirements.
Langlois-Chateau also makes "still" wines
from vineyards it runs in Saumur -Domaine Langlois-Chateau,
Saumur-Champigny -Château de Varrains, Sancerre
-Château de Fontaine-Audon or that it controls
in Muscadet - Domaine de Grand-Maison.
A large number of medals and awards, as well as the
recognition by a clientele of wine-lovers in France
and in many overseas countries, have rewarded our
constant search for quality, elegance and distinction.
